Two Men Jailed After Sterling Drug Bust

Two men are in jail after a drug bust in Sterling, Ill. Thursday morning around 9:45 a.m., the Sterling Police conducted a buy/bust drug investigation in the 900 block of W. 9th Street in Sterling. An agent of the Sterling Police purchased approximately 13 grams of purported crack cocaine.

Police arrested 33-year-old Terrance Wyre of Chicago, Ill. and 23-year-old Brian King of Rock Falls, Ill.

Wyre was charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Look-a-like Substance Class 3 Felony, Failure to Appear Whiteside County Warrant for Driving While Revoked and Failure to Appear Jo Daviess County Warrant for Driving While Revoked.

Wyre was transported to the Whiteside County Jail on the Felony charge.

King was seen at the residence where the drug deal occurred and was arrested on a Lee County Warrant for Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

King was transported to the Lee County Jail in lieu of a $75,000 bail.
