It's hard to tell that we are still almost three months from the 2012 presidential election. Political ads seem to be at a saturation point and the candidates themselves are making visits to Iowa.

Republican candidate Mitt Romney was in Des Moines this past Wednesday, August 8th. He spoke to an audience at a Des Moines high school about the economy and American businesses.

President Obama will be in Iowa next week. On Monday, August 13, 2012, he will make stops in Council Bluffs and Boone. Tuesday he will travel to three more cities; Oskaloosa, Marshalltown and Waterloo. Finally the president will be joined by the first lady, Michelle Obama, for visits to Dubuque and Davenport.

Event details have yet to be released.
