Janet Medendorp calls it her pride and joy. Her hobby began about twenty years ago. Janet has a "thirst" for the real thing. The woman from Garden Plain, near Fulton, has a massive collection of Coca Cola items. More than two thousand items filling three rooms of her home.

She purchased some ornaments in Dubuque in 1992, and the collection just took off. Included in the collection: a singing bottle machine, a talking can, a 1960 delivery truck, polar bears, and a two thousand piece jigsaw puzzle.

She has 41 cookie jars, 31 music boxes, 83 banks, and many, many other items with Coca Cola themes. Some of the items go back to the 1960's when Janet was in high school. Her collection is insured.

Janet jokingly says that her children will probably get mad someday, trying to figure out what to do with the collection when she and her husband are gone!
