The East Moline Fire Department has lifted it's burn ban effective Thursday, August 16, 2012. Burning is allowed on the prescribed days, according to the city's burn policy.

The Fire Department reminds residents to use caution when burning. Fires should be attended at all times. Burning should be at least 25 feet from any structure. A garden hose or water source should be available for use at the burn site. Burning should not take place on windy days.
