The Henry County Sheriff's Office arrested two people on Friday, August 17, 2012, they say were involved in a pair of Annawan, Ill., thefts.

The People's National Bank of Annawan was broken into in the early morning hours August 13, 2012, where a vault was taken. Earlier this summer, on June 26, 2012, the Annawan Shell Express was burglarized and their ATM was taken, .

30-year-old Robert A. Lambert of Kewanee, Ill., and 26-year-old Robert W. Zais of Tampico, Ill., were arrested as a result of evidence found at the crime scenes.

The pair are being charged with three counts of Burglary and four counts of Unlawful Control of Property.

According to the Sheriff's report, the burglary charges and one theft charge are Class 2 felonies and carry a possible sentence of three to seven years in jail and/or a $25,000 fine and/or probation.

The Sheriff's Office says they are continuing to investigate. They also say they are looking into the similarities between these and other similar thefts that have happened in nearby counties.
