Moline police are searching for a man wanted in a bank robbery this afternoon at the Wells Fargo Bank branch inside the Hy Vee grocery store at 4218 Avenue of the Cities.

Police say around 2:30 p.m., police were called to the scene. They say a white/male, approximately 25-years-old, entered the bank and presented a note to the bank teller demanding money.

The suspect is described as being 5'08" -5'10" tall and weighing approximately 200-220 pounds. He was last seen wearing an orange t-shirt, with a dark colored long sleeve undershirt, blue jeans, a fake beard, black sunglasses and an orange hat.

The suspect left the business with an undetermined amount of currency. Police say a weapon was inferred, but not displayed.

According to authorities, Moline High School and Roosevelt Elementary School were locked down for a short period of time, however the lock down was canceled and students were allowed to leave at their regularly scheduled times.
