CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Zach Wahls of Iowa City will speak Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention.
Wahls became an overnight sensation after he made speech in support of gay marriage before Iowa lawmakers in January 2011. The speech went viral and to date has been viewed more than 17,000,000 times on YouTube (see speech here: http://bit.ly/Q1ZVb0).
His success made Wahls an icon among gay marriage supporters and led to a book titled My Two Moms.
Wahls is scheduled to speak Thursday night at around 6:30 PM Central.
