She is a middle distance runner and a national champion. Fifteen year old Kaley Ciluffo is a standout on the Mississippi Valley Track Club. She also runs cross country at Pleasant Valley High School.

At the National Junior Olympics in Baltimore this summer, Kaley made it look easy in the 800 meters. She raced to the finish line in two minutes and ten seconds, winning gold as a member of the Mississippi Valley Track Club.  Her coach, Ben Hulbert, says she runs comfortable and relaxed.

She has the tenacity to work hard, and work through pain. Her goal is to qualify for the United States Olympic Team four years from now at Rio de Janeiro.

Ciluffo is modest and says she simply goes out and works hard. She does not think of herself as being a natural talent.  Hulbert has high praise for this sophomore runner, saying she has more potential than any athlete he has ever trained.
