One more meth lab has been shut down with the help of the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office. Reports say the Sheriff's Office received a tip of a possible methamphetamine production occurring at an apartment on Wapello in Hanover, Illinois.

Deputies responded around 1:09 a.m., Monday September 17, and spoke with the tenant. Officials say consent was given for the Deputies to enter.

Upon entering, Deputies say they discovered an active "shake and bake" methamphetamine cook in progress. Deputies secured the location and awaited the arrival of the Illinois State Police Methamphetamine Team.

As a result of the discovery, 18-yerar-old Morgan R. Stevenson-Dunham and 20-year-old Lashawn E. Melvin were taken into custody. Each were charged with violations of the Methamphetamine Control and Community Protection Act; Participation in Methamphetamine Manufacturing (Class 1 Felony), and Methamphetamine Manufacturing Materials (Class 2 Felony).

The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
