The line to see Vice President Joe Biden speak at the Port of Burlington was a long one. But supporters weren't the only ones present. Protestors formed a line of colorful anti-Obama signs just across the street.

"I don't believe in what they're doing over there I believe in what we're doing over here," said Romney-Ryan supporter, Rose Kendall. "We're protesting all the debt that our children are going to be taking care of for the next hundred years."

"We're letting the Vice President and President Obama know that I, as a senior citizen, am not happy with the way things are going in this country and I'm looking for some new leadership," said Dorothy Cackley.

But Obama-Biden supporters didn't let the chants coming from across the street sour their day. The line to see the Vice President speak was packed with a smiling crowd of diverse supporters.

"Obama is good for the state of Iowa, for jobs for sure," said Anna Ertz.

"I support Obama and the Democrats specifically because of issues like gay rights." Curtis Rowley wears a "Pride for Obama '12" pin on his T-shirt. "Remember all families are important," Rowley said.

But supporters from both sides of the aisle did have one sentiment in common on Monday -- get out and vote.

"Republican or Democrat I think it's important that people show their support and show up," said Obama-Biden supporter, Janine Glass.

"I'm constantly talking to people and asking them to please research your candidates," Kendall said. "Make sure you pick the right one."

And come November 6, everyone will have the chance to do just that.
