The City of Galesburg, Ill. has announced two road closures that might affect residents.
1. The south bound lane of N. Seminary Street, just north of Main Street, will be closed beginning Monday, September 24 at 7:00 a.m. through Wednesday, September 27, at 5:00 p.m. for repair of a broken sanitary sewer. A detour route will be set up directing traffic heading south bound on Seminary to Ferris Street and then to Kellogg Street.
2. The E. Main Street railroad crossing will be closed from 7:00 a.m., Monday, October 8 to Friday, October 19 at 5:00 p.m. for BNSF to install the third track across E. Main Street. A signed detour for truck traffic will be provided on I-74 to US 34 back to US 150. Local traffic will utilize Allens Avenue to Mulberry to Seminary back to Main.
