MOLINE, Illinois - Moline Police have charged Dr. Norman F. Williams of Silvis with two counts of criminal sexual assault.  Dr. Williams is listed as practicing in Moline. 

Online records show Dr. Williams, a gastroenterologist, was reprimanded and disciplined in 2003 in the state of Georgia for prescribing controlled substances to six patients "without medical necessity, documentation or examination of the patients."  According to Georgia records, the amounts of medications Dr. Williams prescribed "were in excessive amounts, and continued use of these medications could have led to habituation or addiction in these patients."

Dr. Williams' was placed on probation in Georgia from 2003 to 2007.  Records show his license to practice in Illinois was issued April 7, 2010.
