KWQC Partners With Clear Channel Radio


Sept. 27, 2012 – KWQC-TV6, the market leading NBC affiliate in Davenport/Quad Cities, and Clear Channel Radio, the top radio group in the market have announced a news sharing agreement, effective October 1, 2012.  Under the terms of the agreement, KWQC will produce news and weather reports for Clear Channels six Quad Cities radio stations, while Clear Channel will provide KWQC with daily entertainment reports focused on the music and entertainment industry. 

Clear Channels roster of stations in the Quad Cities includes: Today's Country WLLR 103.7 FM, Mix 96, Real Classic Rock Q106.5, WOC News Talk 1420 AM, FOX Sports Radio / WFXN 1230 and KISS FM 101.3

KWQC Vice President & General Manager, Ken Freedman stated: "We are excited about our agreement with Clear Channel; their radio group has, both individually and in aggregate, the highest percentage of our community's radio audience, we're pleased to be able to have our brand affiliated with such a great roster of stations".
