Monica Rouse will now be the only principal at Durant High School. The Durant School Board made the decision Monday night during a special session that was closed to the public.

Co-Principal Tony Neumann who was originally brought in to replace Rouse will split duties with the K-8 principal.

Rouse was fired in 2012 over several allegations, including tampering with student records. She challenged the firing and was reinstated, but wasn't given all of her duties back.

A judge ruled on Friday that the school board was in contempt of court for not giving Rouse the complete job she had before. The judge told the board members to return Rouse to full principal or face jail time.
