Marijuana Growing Operation Discovered Near Lomax, IL

Authorities in Henderson County say they discovered a marijuana growing operation near Lomax, Illinois.

According to a news release, deputies became suspicious when they found an abandoned vehicle parked along the roadway on a county road.

That's when deputies arrested 40-year-old Michael Diehl of Burlington and Sheldon Krogmeir on a property and charged them with attempted burglary, criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance.

During the investigation, deputies uncovered a marijuana growing operation on property owned by 49-year-old Michael Wiley of rural Lomax. Deputies pulled 49 plants and seized guns and ammunition from the property.

48-year-old Beth E. Weyrick of Lomax was also arrested on drug charges.
