Following graduation from law school, John served as Law Clerk for the Honorable Benjamin K. Miller, Supreme Court, Illinois.
John has spent the last eleven years as Senior Counsel at Deere & Company. During that time, he has worked with factory, marketing and supply management personnel and completed an international assignment in Germany. John has served on the Pleasant Valley Community School Board of Education since 2009, Bettendorf Family Museum Board of Trustees since 2010, the Iowa Chapter of the American Corporate Counsel Board since 2010 and Bettendorf Rotary since 2010.
His interest in entering the Congressional race stems primarily from his years spent in the private sector at Deere & Company. His passion for serving has been fueled as he has worked with Iowans in Davenport, Dubuque, Waterloo, and Ottumwa to produce the best agricultural machinery in the world. John knows firsthand what it takes to compete locally as well as in the world marketplace. He understands the environment required to create jobs. He has experienced the burden of big government and knows this is not taking us in the right direction.
John feels we need more people on the front lines fighting for the principles founded in our Constitution. Eastern Iowa needs a Congressman who will stop growing government, borrowing more and sending our tax dollars abroad. John believes his years of experience and core Midwestern values will provide the needed leadership in Congress to move us in the right direction.
He resides in Bettendorf with his wife Andrea and their two children, Henry (6) and Beatrice (3). They attend Heritage Church in Bettendorf.
