A woman who was out for a stroll in Whiteside County Sunday evening was struck by a vehicle and then stuck with a ticket.

According to the Whiteside County Sheriff's Office, around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2012, 43-year old Angela Church-Veatch of Tampico, Ill., was walking on Luther Road near Prophet Road when she was hit by a pick-up.

According to the report, she was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. She was also cited for improper walking on the highway.
