Police are investigating a shooting that happened in Dubuque, Iowa around midnight on Saturday, October 20, 2012. Authorities say a group of teens fired shots at another group in the 2000 block of Jackson Street.

According to Dubuque Police, two people received gunshot wounds.

Officials say 15-year-old Marlon Terell Barber Jr. died from his injuries while in surgery. The other victim, 16-year-old Demarcus Timmons, is expected to survive.

A vigil was held at the scene Sunday night by their family and friends.

No charges have been filed at this time. The shooting remains under investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to call the Dubuque Police Department at 563-589-4415.
