A water main break in Bettendorf, Iowa on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 has caused traffic to be detoured. The break happened in the 2100 block of Bellevue Avenue.

The southbound lane of 23rd Street is closed from Oak Street to Central Avenue. Traffic is being routed westward to 21st Street. Northbound traffic on 23rd Street remains open at this time.

Repairs to the main and pavement restoration is expected to last through Wednesday, October 24. For more information, residents are asked to contact the Bettendorf Public Works Department at 563-344-4055.
