Another juror has been dismissed in the Nicholas Sheley, Whiteside County trial for the murder of Russell Reed. On day four of the trial, and in less than 24 hours, two jurors have been relieved of their duties.

The first juror was dismissed after court on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. The man has his own scheduled court hearing regarding child support and custody. That hearing is scheduled to take place during the trial so he can't serve.

Thursday morning, November 1, 2012, a woman serving on the jury was also dismissed, due to an accident that happened Wednesday.

Judge Meersman, told the court, "she had an accident and broke a bone and is now under doctors orders not to do anything, which precludes her from being here."

Two of the three alternate jurors chosen the previous week during jury selection are now serving, leaving only one alternate.
