The City of Davenport announced the following information:

Starting after the morning rush hour on Monday, November 5, westbound traffic on River Drive will be closed between Mound Street and Oneida Avenue to allow construction crews to install five large underground pipes for the storm water, sanitary sewer and water systems. The closure is expected to last for about three weeks.

Westbound traffic will be diverted north on Mound Street to 12th Street, west to Oneida. A twelve foot, eight-inch height restriction at the railroad bridge on 12th Street will require tall trucks to detour north to Locust Street by taking 14th Street to E. Kimberly Road in Bettendorf. During the installation eastbound traffic will not be affected and the eastbound lane will remain open to traffic.
