Election Day 2012 started off on a rainy note in the Quad Cities, but that didn't keep voters from the polls. People started voting on both sides of the river as soon as they opened.

Early Tuesday morning, KWQC spoke with Carla Uriarte. She was the first voter in line at the Scott County Administration Center.

Uriarte says she didn't even think about voting early, before election day. "I like coming here in person, physically filling out the ballot and putting it in the machine. I don't like doing it with mail. It just feels better."

Polls in Iowa close at 9:00 p.m. and in Illinois, polls close at 7:00 p.m.
