Police are investigating a bank robbery that happened in Viola, Ill., on Thursday morning, November 8, 2012. The incident happened at the Union Federal Savings and Loan at 1507 13th St. in Viola.

Police say there were two tellers working behind the counter when the robbery took place. The tellers told authorities that the robber threatened them with a weapon.

Viola Police Chief, Tom Mulder says, "they're still shook up, they're pretty upset. It doesn't happen to them everyday."

The bank robber got the money he came for and he got away. Fortunately for authorities there were several surveillance cameras inside the Union Federal Bank. The only problem,  the criminal's face was completely covered up with a black ski mask.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Viola Police Department.
