A teen from Bushnell, Illinois was seriously injured Friday morning when he lost control of his car and hit a fertilizer truck in McDonough County.

The car then flipped onto its top and caught on fire.

Johnson was trapped inside and had to be extricated by emergency crews. He suffered serious injuries and was air-lifted from the scene to a hospital in Peoria. The driver of the truck, 75-year-old Joseph Sullivan of Macomb, was not injured.
