SCOTT COUNTY, Iowa – A Scott County man was killed in a single vehicle crash early Saturday morning between Buffalo and Blue Grass.

Jacob O'Connell, 24, of Buffalo, Iowa was killed around one AM when his Ford F-150 left the road while traveling south on 70th Avenue.

Investigators say O'Connell's truck ran into a ditch after leaving the road, struck a tree and flipped onto its roof.  The accident occurred at a point where 70th Avenue curves as it becomes 112th Street.

Investigators say O'Connell was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
