UPDATE: Sterling Police are looking to arrest Octavius L. Zackery, 35, of Sterling, IL in connection with the shooting. Zackery is wanted on a charge of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm.
Zackery is 5'04" and 124 pounds. He sometimes goes by the nick names of Lamar, "T", "Ta", "Ock", "Ocky".

STERLING, Illinois – Police are asking the public's help in finding a suspect in a shooting Saturday night.
Police received a call of a shot fired near 6th Avenue and East 5th Street around 9:30 PM. Police found a man who had been shot and a bullet casing at the scene.
The shooting victim was taken for medical treatment but later released himself from the hospital. According to Sterling Police, the victim "refused to cooperate with the police investigation." His name has not been released.
