The Rock Island City Council will discuss a development project for the Watchtower Plaza area, Monday night, November 19, 2012. The shopping center off Eleventh Street in Rock Island houses several businesses right now.
Last week, KWQC reported a developer is looking to buy up the property and some of the area surrounding it. While the exact plans aren't being released a big box grocer or hardware store have been mentioned.
The city says details will be discussed and the redevelopment will be voted on during the regular city council meeting starting at 6:45 p.m.
