The PBS series Frontline will premiere the film Poor Kids on Tuesday night, November 20, 2012, featuring kids from the Quad Cities.

Frontline spent months following three Quad City children growing up in the backdrop of the recession and financial struggle.

Some of the local organizations filmed include Eagle Ridge School, River Bend Foodbank, the Salvation Army and Davenport City Center Ministry Food Pantry.

The director and creator of the film, Jezza Neumann, was in Silvis, Ill., on Monday to talk about the film and it's importance.

"It's the fact that hundreds of people are losing their jobs across America. Jobs that they thought were secure and the trouble is that for so many they are just living on the edge."

The film will air on Iowa Public Television at 9:00 p.m.
