Police say an active meth lab in Davenport, Iowa was shut down on Tuesday night, November 27, 2012. Around 8:50 p.m., the Davenport Police Department received information that there was an active methamphetamine lab in operation in the garage located at 1947 Dixwell Street.
Officers and members of the Tactical Operations Bureau responded and located 43-year-old John Petre of 1947 Dixwell St. and 51-year-old Joel Harter of Davenport in the detached garage.
During the check of the garage, Officers located materials commonly used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. A search warrant was obtained and items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine were located along with methamphetamine.
Both Petre and Harter were charged with drug possession with intent to deliver.
