The teenage mother accused of dumping her newborn on the side of road was back in court Friday morning, November 30, 2012.

19-year-old Kendra Meaker of Toulon, Ill., is accused of abandoning three-week-old Mia Grace Thompson in the ditch of a rural road and then claiming to authorities she was kidnapped at the post office.

The child was later found alive and is said to be doing well.

The full report of Meaker's mental evaluation has been submitted. Preliminary results were read in court earlier in November where the judge tentatively ruled that she was mentally fit to stand trial. The judge made that decision final on Friday.

Meaker is charged with obstruction of justice, destroying evidence and endangering the life of a child. She pleaded not guilty Friday morning and is scheduled to be in court for a pre-trial hearing on January 11, 2013.

Meaker's family held a prayer service outside the courthouse before Friday's hearing.
