Moline Police are asking for help from the public to catch an armed robber. On Friday morning, November 30, 2012, at 10:07 a.m., Moline Police responded to the 1700 Block of 53rd Street to investigate a reported armed robbery.
According to reports, the elderly female victim told police she was approached by the suspect as she was heading from her vehicle to her residence. She says she the suspect, who was armed with a knife, approached her and demanded money.
The woman told police she was able to get inside her house and yell for assistant.
Police say the victim wasn't injured and the suspect fled on foot.
According to the police report, authorities are looking for a male/black, approximately 20 to 25 years of age, around 6'02" tall with a thin build. The victim told police the suspect was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with a mask at the time of the incident.
