Drought Impacts Snowfall Records

The drought is extending into the winter weather record books.

According to the Associated Press, Cities across the Midwest are marking an unusual milestone for the most days without measurable snowfall. Chicago still hasn't had its first measurable snowfall of the season. Milwaukee is set to break a record this weekend. And Des Moines is set to tie a 123-year-old record Thursday for the longest consecutive stretch. It's the 277th day without snow.
