The Davenport Police Department has released more details on the investigation of the suspicious death that occurred over the weekend.
An autopsy was scheduled Tuesday for the body of 41-year-old Rob Kohn, which was discovered early Saturday morning, December 8, 2012, in a farm field near Utah Avenue and Telegraph Road.
According to police, the Scott County deputy that found the body, found it under a truck and saw someone running away. The driver of the truck was arrested, but eventually only charged with an O.W.I.
Police say the driver of the pick up, 25-year-old Chase Bromwell, was not involved in the death, he just was intoxicated and ran over the body. According to the Davenport Police, the body was there for over 24 hours before Bromwell made contact.
Police say Kohn was killed there in the field and this is a full homicide investigation. They say they have a suspect and will release the results of the autopsy after they make an arrest.
