For one family in Milan, it's their version of the Magic Kingdom. Joyce and Mitch Strach have a huge collection of Disney Characters. Look around their elegant home and you'll find Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. There are clocks, telephones, music boxes, lamps, collector plates and many other items with a Disney theme.

The Strachs caught the Disney bug about twenty years ago after buying some framed pictures at the Milan Cinemas. The mural in the family room depicts Mickey Mouse reeling in a fish that Mitch actually caught in Wisconsin.

The Strachs have taken a Disney Cruise and also have visited Disney World in Florida.

Walt Disney released a cartoon in 1928. It was Steamboat Willie. It was the first to synchronize sound with movement and character. Mickey Mouse whistled as he piloted his boat. The rest is history.

Walt Disney went on to become a hugely successful businessman. He and his brother Roy co-founded Walt Disney Productions. That corporation is worth billions.

Joyce and Mitch Strach call themselves grown up kids. Joyce jokes about the extensive Disney Collection, saying that we're not elegant, but we are unique.
