ROCK ISLAND - About 4,000 residents in the Illinois Quad Cities are without power.

Of those 4,000, around 2,500 are centered in Rock Island.

A representative from Mid-American said that there are technicians on the ground with full capabilities to correct the issue. The issue is mostly confined to Rock Island with areas of Moline and East Moline also effected.

Mid-American is also battling outages in Des Moines where the power outages total about 33,000.
