Henry County officials report residents of Galva and Kewanee are currently experiencing problems with their 911 service. The problem is due to a 911 trunk outage.

The Henry County Sheriff's Office asks if you live in the Kewanee city limits and you need emergency assistance, you should dial 309-853-1911. If you live outside of the Kewanee city limits or in Galva, you are asked to dial 309-937-3911.

Officials say they are working on the problem but are unable to say when it will be resolved.

According to the sheriff's office, Verizon cell phones were not working in the area and it's unknown when that issue will be resolved.

Officials say many roads are still not fully plowed and there are many vehicles in the ditches due to the storm.

Travel is not advised, but if you must, make sure you have plenty of fuel and take plenty of time to get where you're going.

Due to conditions, the Henry County Court House is closed and will reopen on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, after the Christmas holiday.
