ANDALUSIA - Now that there's snow on the ground people are back to hitting the slopes.

Skiers at Ski Snowstar in Andalusia are taking advantage of the cold weather and conditions primed for winter sports.

The tubing hill opened today while the ski hill has been open for business since Saturday. Ski Snowstar has been very busy so far.

"We obviously got a late start but it looks like it's going to be a great start," general manager Ed Meyer said. "We got some natural snow, got snow in everybody's backyard and we've got some cold weather so we've been able to make a lot of snow."

Meyer went on to say that this weather is a relief after a slow start to the season last year.
