UPDATE: Crews have reopened eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 near the I-280 overpass after a crash involving two big trucks Friday morning.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, an oversized flatbed truck hit the bridge, tearing off the top of the cab. Then, a semi slammed into the first truck blowing a tire.
Officials closed the eastbound lanes of the highway because of the crash, which damaged the bridge. A short time later, traffic was moving again, but crews remained on the scene.
