A Burlington man has entered guilty pleas to several charges in connection with a rash of burglaries in Burlington, Iowa this past fall. 24-year-old Dustin James Albright pleaded guilty to seven counts of burglary.

He was accused of breaking into a dozen churches and businesses during the month of October, but he wasn't caught until the early morning hours of Oct. 29, when police were alerted of a break-in at Big Muddy's restaurant at 710 Front St. When officers arrived, they spotted Albright walking away from the restaurant. Police later discovered The Drake restaurant at 106 Washington St. had also been broken into that night.

Arrest warrants were issued for burglaries that occurred at other locations including: Hopefully Yours, Big River Popcorn Company, Moto's Café, Grace United Methodist Church, Foursquare Gospel Church, Los Charros Restaurant, Billups Tire and Muffler, St. John Baptist Church, and Steve's Place Tavern.

Albright is scheduled to be sentenced in February.
