A tragic accident on Interstate 80 lead to the death of an Iowa City, Iowa woman early Thursday morning, January 3, 2013. The incident happened in Cedar County around 12:30 near the Atalissa exit.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 58-year-old Shuying Guo from Iowa City was driving in the westbound lanes of I-80 when she lost control of her car. The car entered the median, rolled and ended up in the eastbound lanes.

Troopers say she got out of the car and was standing near it when a semi hit her car. They say her own car then struck and killed her.
