Suspect Arrested In Armed Robbery At Galesburg Restaurant

Galesburg police made an arrest in connection with an early morning robbery at a Jimmy John's.

After an investigation, Nathaniel R. McPherrin, 29, was charged with Aggravated Armed Robbery and is currently being held in the Knox County Law Enforcement Center.

The Galesburg Police Department was advised of an armed robbery at the restaurant at 235 E. Main Street in Galesburg at approximately 8:50 a.m. on January 3rd.

Initial information indicated a male suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money.

Subsequent investigation by the Galesburg P.D. led to the arrest of McPherrin who is homeless.

McPherrin is awaiting his initial appearance in court.
