ROWVA Schools Dismiss Early Due To Gas Leak

10:00 a.m. UPDATE:  Knox Co. Sheriff's Department says the leak was a 2 inch gas line that ruptured. They say the schools have all been safely evacuated.  Ameren is repairing the break.

Original Report: The ROWVA school district is being dismissed Monday morning, January 7, 2013 as precautionary measure due to a gas leak at a construction site.

The gas leak is not at any of the schools but school officials say they are worried about fumes making the kids sick.

The school in Altona is out at 9:30 a.m. and the other schools in Oneida are out at 9:45am.

Parents should pick up kids at the High School gym.
