Four men were arrested early Tuesday morning and charged with assault causing injury after police say they attacked a man in the parking lot of the HyVee grocery store in Bettendorf.

According to the report, 24-year-old Tiron Jabarri Gwynn, 18-year-old Demonta Weslee Francis, 18-year-old Corwin Jacobs Williams and 21-year-old Saul DeVaughn were in the parking lot of the HyVee grocery store on Devils Glen Road when an argument broke out.

The manager told police they were getting ready to fight and he asked the men to leave.

According to police, the four men attacked the manager, punching and kicking him, and knocking him to the ground. The manager suffered multiple cuts to his head and required treatment at a local hospital.

The suspects fled the scene but were apprehended by Davenport Police after being involved in an altercation in the 1700 block of Davenport St.
