Moline Police are asking for help in finding the man who assaulted a woman and her family during a home invasion Thursday morning.

Police say Bryan D. Sharpe forced entry into a home in the 3000 block of 11th Ave. C around 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 10, the same day a court hearing was schedule for an emergency order of protection recently obtained by his girlfriend, the victim.

Once in the home, police say Sharpe beat and choked the victim and then broke her cell phone. She was then held in her home with her children for several hours. Police believe it was Sharpe's intent to prevent her from attending the hearing.

Then, around 9 a.m., family members of the victim arrived. The victim was able to unlock the door and when they confronted Sharpe, an altercation occurred and one of the children was hurt. That's when Sharpe ran away.

Sharpe is wanted on charges of home invasion, unlawful restraint, domestic battery and unlawful violation of an order of protection.

He may be driving a 2003 black Honda Element with Illinois License Plate P452 967.

If you see him you are asked to call the Moline Police Department (309)-797-0401 or Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities (309) 762-9500.
