A former employee of the Rock Island-Milan School District has been charged with possessing child pornography. 23-year-old Scott Sparkman was a substitute custodian with Rock Island-Milan Schools. Since he was substitute, he worked wherever he was needed within the district. Sparkman was let go in June, 2012.

According to the search warrant, Sparkman is accused of viewing four videos on four separate occasions. All the videos involved a girl, younger than 13-years-old, engaging in sex acts. Rock Island Police documents show that the alleged activity happened between February and June, 2012. Sparkman was employed by the school district during that time; however, he is only accused of viewing videos.

Authorities traced the downloads using specialized programs and connected the downloads using an IP address from Sparkman's computer. Sparkman is facing four charges of aggravated child pornography. He's been released from the Rock Island County Jail on bail.
