Rock Island's Longview Park Gets New Equipment

Updated:

It may be a little cold outside right now to head to the playground, but visitors to Rock Island's Longview Park will have new equipment to discover once the weather warms.

The Rock Island Parks and Recreation Department announced the completion of a new tree-house themed playground in upper Longview Park, replacing the old playground equipment.

This update is part of the ongoing playground replacement program, made possible by the Amanda Beck playground fund and revenue from gaming.

The Parks and Rec. Department says users of the new playground will enjoy small and large slides, climbers and a rope bridge.
