Galesburg School Board OKs Improvement Funding

The Galesburg School Board approved funding for improvements to the athletic facilities and for the high school.

Superintendent Bart Arthur told KWQC that over $15 Million will go towards a new football stadium, baseball diamond, softball fields, soccer field, track and multi-purpose building at the high school.

There will also be improvements made to the high school as a part of the bigger plan to make improvements at schools throughout the district.

The improvements and renovations will be paid for by the 1 percent county sales tax that was passed by voters.
