Clinton police managed to find a burglary suspect, hidden in a most unusual place during a break-in at a bookstore Monday. Officers responded to an alarm at the Beyond Bookstore located in the 100 block of 5th Ave. South.

Police brought in extra help from the Clinton County Sheriff's Office K-9 and the Clinton Fire Department.

After a lengthy search, police say they found the suspect hiding inside a wall in the building. 25-year-old Derek Scheper of Clinton was arrested and charged with 3rd degree burglary and criminal mischief, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.
