We have more information on a large fire that broke out at a business in Rock Falls, Ill. Tuesday. The fire started at a truck storage facility located on Rt. 30, just outside of town.

Multiple tenants rented out space in the building and we're told the fire caused hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damage to the building, the trucks and tools inside.

Rock Falls Deputy Fire Chief Gary Cook says they could see the plume of smoke from miles away. He adds that the fire was especially dangerous because there were large amounts of gas and oil stored inside.

"We had loaded semis with corn. Any type of facility like that has combustibles, oils, gas cans. There (were) multiple explosions going on, so entering into it to investigate is pretty difficult right now," Cook said.

The fire was still smoldering Thursday, with some small pockets of flames popping up from the charred remains of the structure.
