The Quad City chapter of the American Red Cross is helping a family after an intense house fire in Geneseo, Ill., Wednesday morning, January 23, 2013.

Crews were called to the 9000 block of North 2150 Avenue. When they arrived around 4:50 a.m., firefighters say the house was fully engulfed.

The Geneseo Fire Department says two tenants were out of the home when they arrived. One occupant was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

According to the report, the Colona and Osco Fire Departments were paged for tankers. Officials say they had the fire under control in around three hours.
